E-Learning for Libraries

E-Learn Libraries, Inc. and the Public Library Association (PLA) have teamed up to launch a new series of online education courses. The new online learning format is designed to help users learn more efficiently and to facilitate ease of collaboration between colleagues and instructors.

The first course of study offered in this new venture will be Creating Policies for Results. This course is based on the popular American Library Association (ALA) publication, Creating Policies For Results: From Chaos to Clarity, written by Sandra Nelson and June Garcia. June will work with participants as they encounter real library policy problems. Participants will gain useful knowledge, skills, and judgment that will enable them to produce useable policies tailored to their individual libraries. The curriculum features interactive exercises, collaborative work, and online chats with instructors and colleagues.
